CHEAP CAR RENTAL

Because there have been a number of rental car thefts car rental companies many locations now require additional identification from Mexicans before renting out cars. Please have all the following in case they are asked for.

Passport
Mexican Driving Licence
Credit card with drivers name printed on it
Mexican voter registration card (INE)
CURP which is the official ID numbers issued by the government

It may also help if you could provide details of your flights back to Mexico and a utility bill (electricity or water or bank statements etc) which shows your name and address.
